Paulo Rosa Santos is Full Professor at the Department of Civil and Georesources Engineering of FEUP – Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. His research interests include: marine renewable energies, coastal and offshore structures, physical and numerical modelling, climate change adaptation, and coastal resilience. In the last 20 years, he collaborated in +80 R&D projects and consultancy studies in those fields. Supervisor/Co-supervisor of +6 PhD Thesis (concluded) and +9 PhD students (ongoing), and + 55 M.Sc. Dissertations. Author of +260 papers published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and conference proceedings (+80 papers in Q1 journals, h-index +30 Scopus). Chartered Engineer (2004), Senior Member (2013) and Specialist in Hydraulics and Water Resources (2019) by the Portuguese Engineering Council. President of the Portuguese Water Resources Association – North Branch. Executive Vice-President of Instituto para a Construção Sustentável (ICS). Director of the Hydraulics Laboratory at FEUP. Head of the Hydraulics, Water Resources and Environment Division of DECG-FEUP. Independent Expert evaluator of R&D proposals for different national and international entities. Principal Investigator or Researcher of +20 R&D projects in the field of ocean renewable energies and coastal engineering (e.g., DuneFront, HYDEA, OCT, Atlantida, WEC4Ports, PORTOS, WECANet, ORACLE, SE@PORTS, HYDRALAB+, OPWEC, I.nano.WEC).
