Adetunji Ojediran

PhD student
Adetunji Ojediran is a PhD candidate at CIIMAR, University of Porto, researching advanced constructed wetlands for the treatment and reuse of wastewater in tourism units. His work integrates microbial fuel cells, carbon sequestration, and circular resource recovery into nature-based solutions aimed at enhancing sustainability and climate resilience. He holds dual Master’s degrees in Chemical Process Engineering (Université de Lorraine, France) and in Environmental Protection Technologies (Slovak Technical Univesity, Bratislava, Slovakia). His recent technical contributions include poster and oral presentations at the Doctoral Congress in Engineering (DCE25), the International Green Infrastructure Conference (IGIC), and the IJUP Conference at the University of Porto. He has also participated in technical workshops such as the ReCROP Workshop on Soil Health at Universidade Católica Portuguesa and as a technical support during workshop at the Ponte de Lima study area. His outreach engagements include exhibitions at Mostra da U.Porto, Verde Porto in Matosinhos, and CMIA Vila do Conde. Through these activities, he actively contributes to advancing applied research and public engagement in environmental engineering.
