On the 8th of September CIIMAR signs up to the Portugal Foods platform during its 25 years celebratory conference New Horizons.
By joining PortugalFoods, CIIMAR will benefit from an integrated network of contacts and information, increased institutional visibility, strategic support for internationalization and innovation, as well as tools for capacity building and promotion. This perfectly complements its mission to transform research outcomes into economic and social value.
This collaboration also aims to enhance the knowledge and innovation generated at CIIMAR and promote its direct application in this sector of industry.
PortugalFoods, is a private non-profit association, that brings together more than 180 members including food industry companies and entities from the Portuguese scientific ecosystem, either universities as well as R&D centers. It acts as a platform, boosting the agrifood sector’s competitiveness by establishing win-win relationships, focused on Knowledge and Market. It provids space to increasing the sector’s technological index by supporting knowledge economical valorization, through a range of activities concerning innovation and R&D while also promoting the sector’s internationalization by identifying opportunities and empowering agrifood companies through Business Intelligence and by organizing international trade events.
