Adriana Gouveia is a marine biologist with a degree in Biology from the University of Madeira (2020) and a Master’s in Applied Marine Biology from the University of Aveiro (2022). Focused on deep-sea ecology and black corals, she is currently a research fellow at CIIMAR. She works on sampling and taxonomic identification of marine invertebrates, particularly sponges and corals, and maintaining invertebrates in controlled aquarium conditions, with multivariate statistical analysis.
